Deep Space Antenna with ESA-50-Year-Badge, Vienna-Logo and the Headline ESA CEBREROS, WALTZ INTO SPACE
For Johann Strauss II’s 200th birthday and the 50th anniversary of the European Space Agency, ESA and the Vienna Tourist Board are embarking on a mission of cosmic proportions – sending The Blue Danube Waltz to its destined home among the stars.

At ESA’s Ground Station in Cebreros (Spain) – which celebrates 20 years of operations – space and music are coming together for a unique experience.

Explore ESA ‘s Deep Space communication facilities in a guided tour (English or Spanish).

Experience the Viennese waltz live, interpreted in a modern style by DJ Maro and Viennese dance artist Lea Karnutsch.

Dive into an immersive experience with a live piano and violin performance by DUO Kham.

Performed by the world-famous Wiener Symphoniker, led by Chief Conductor Petr Popelka, live from the MAK – (Museum of Applied Arts) in Vienna.

Witness how The Blue Danube Waltz by Johann Strauss II finally finds its home among the stars. The transmission will be carried out by the Deep Space Antenna on site.
21:45 Cool down with DJ Maro
22:30 Shuttle to Madrid
The shuttle will drop you off at Moncloa.
